Initial Layout

The first fatal flaw of 30 Day Fitness is that there is no home screen! The only place where one can locate the title of the app is when one is viewing the app icon itself. Other areas that desperately need redesigning include completely rebranding the app by enhancing the logo & color palette, forming a table of contents for the workouts, removing long blocks of text to proper line length, making the calendar more user friendly/readable, getting rid of excess tabs, and making the app welcoming to all. Pocket Yoga Pocket Yoga is a great reference on how to enhance 30 Day Fitness due to the level of visual clarity. Users genuinely enjoy using the app since it not only varies in level of difficulty but it also clearly distinguishes the various methods of stretching. Interview #1- Chrissa Interview #2- Brad Interview #3- Brooke At the first glance of 30 Day Fitness app, I immediately understood why I loathed the design. Negative aspects of design such as bizarre color schemes, lengthy blocks of text, unorganized content, and various other reasons, all were in full effect on the app. Thus, I am very excited to begin designing the new layout and branding for the app. I have begun thinking of new titles for the app, as well as an entirely new direction at which I would like to pursue the app. I then went on to speak to three individuals in Cheshire Coffee in regards to 30 Day Fitness. None of the individuals have any design background, so I was very curious to hear their honest opinions about the app. Their feedback is the data that can be analyzed in each of the three empathy maps.
